Your first day - how exciting!

Below is some helpful information to make sure your term begins with a great start.

First Day Information

  1. Bring original IDs with you on your first day. These documents are needed for your Program Coordinator to complete (virtually or in-person) the I9 and AmeriCorps Member Eligibility Verification forms.
  2. If you paid for your background checks upfront, remember to have all background check receipts uploaded to your account by your first day so we can process reimbursements to be added to your first paycheck.
  3. Have all of your enrollment tasks completed on your Conservation Legacy Onboarding Account.
  4. Make sure that you are in contact with your site supervisor about where to arrive, what time, and what to wear.

Orientation

In order for you to become familiar with what is expected of you during your term, we ask that you take part in our program orientation (these will be sent to you via email, too). Please watch the Member Orientation Video within the first few days of your term and go through the documents in the Member Resources page, linked below, with your supervisor. This orientation will count as work time, so please make sure you view it during your workday.

  • AmeriCorps Members - watch your Member Orientation Video here. Slides are here.
  • Hourly Members - your Program Coordinator will reach out to you regarding your orientation.

Here is your Member Resources page that will host many important documents for your term. Please bookmark this link and ensure you set aside time to review all of the information. Pay special attention to:

  1. Pay Schedule: Please make sure to keep up with submitting your timesheets on a bi-weekly basis in order for us to issue your pay on time.
  2. Timesheet Instructions: Read within your first week
  3. Monthly Accomplishment Reports: Read within your first week
  4. Workers Compensation: Review thoroughly and refer to if needed
